James Frayne is a crusty, nonconforming, dog loving, selective recluse who lives with his three small terriers in the desert miles outside of Phoenix, Arizona.

The comfortable, rambling home he built out of recycled materials is located down a dusty, rutted, rip-your-muffler-off road, miles from his nearest neighbor. Jim points out that his property is bordered on one side by suspicious trigger-happy survivalists, on the other side by bikers who probably get their spare cash by selling drugs out of their assortment of run-down trailers, and no one is sure who owns the rattlesnake infested vacant parcel on the north side of his 25 acres. Jim doesn't get a lot of visitors--he has no idea why.

Jim spent 12 years living and working in Saudi Arabia. The time he spent in the "magic kingdom"  gave him the background and understanding to write The Strain Ten Corollary as well as his first book Vitamin Wow.
